How We Use Information

Respond to questions, donations, volunteer offers, and aid requests

Deliver kits, household goods, training, or referrals

Coordinate with a referring caseworker when you (or they) ask us to

Send receipts, thank-yous, and occasional updates about our work

Improve the website, prevent spam and fraud, and keep records required by law

Report aggregate, non-identifying numbers (for example, “40 kits distributed”)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use donor or client lists for paid advertising.

Aid Requests

If you request help, you may share housing status, veteran status, and household needs. We use that only to assess and deliver assistance or a referral.

Do not send Social Security numbers, bank passwords, or military ID scans through the website form or unencrypted email

We share your details with another organization only when needed to fulfill the request and, when practical, with your knowledge

Staff and board members who handle requests are expected to keep this information confidential

Donations

Online gifts are processed by a third-party processor (such as PayPal, Stripe, or a similar giving platform). Their privacy policy governs card and bank data.

We keep what we need for a tax receipt and IRS records: name, address, email, amount, date, and designation. We do not store full card numbers on kozykoveinc.org.

When We Share Your Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that host the site, process payments, filter spam, or send email
  • Partner nonprofits, shelters, or VA-related programs when sharing is needed to help you
  • Professional advisors (accountant, attorney) under confidentiality
  • Authorities if required by law, court order, or to prevent harm
  • Successors if Kozy Kove merges, dissolves, or transfers programs, only for the same charitable purposes

We may publish first names or photos only with permission.

Cookies and Analytics

The site may use essential cookies (security, spam control) and basic analytics to see which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser. The site may not work fully without essential cookies.

If we later add advertising pixels or remarketing, we will update this policy.

How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Aid-request files: as long as needed to serve you, then a limited period for program and audit records
  • Donor records: as required by IRS and Florida charitable-solicitation rules (generally several years)
  • Routine emails and web logs: a shorter operational period unless a legal hold applies

When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it when practical.
